The BIG day came

I don't know why this day is one that I have been so anxious for. I remember being excited about being smoke free for 2 weeks, but yet wanted it to mean more to me, so I called it 1/2 a month. That went and then 1 month, 2nd month and 3rd month. The day that I have waited for "like a kid the before Christmas"is to belong to The Triple Digit Club!!!! 100 SMOKE FREE DAYS.
There is NO Triple Digit Club, so for all these days I have really been waiting for nothing more then to see that I have been smoke free for more then 99 days!!! The clock has rolled over. But now somehow I feel like I do belong to a special club of sorts, so many of you are there and know......maybe I can just say that now I feel like I am no longer a "Newbie."

For any new comers, for all you elders, and for all of us maybe that still seem to fall in between... this is what I know.

That this support group (site) works, let it work for you.

If you are a new comer, please educate your self and work the EX program before you jump in and get your feet wet. I smoked for over 40 years and I read and read and read and went to whyquit.com for one month before I could make my commitment. I have "stopped smoking once before", that is when I thought I had a bad habit and would not admit that this is a terrible addiction, I want to be a NON SMOKER. I want to be a WINNER, and I don't ever want to have to start again....it is just way to hard.
You will also find people here so DEDICATED to this program to their quit and to helping you be successful. Listen to them, join groups...but most of all join the pledge group and do it every single day without fail, be accountable for yourself, rather to yourself.

For you "ELDERSthank you for your guidance, encouragement, dedication to helping others. I would not have SEEN my big day come true without all of you.You have been there to give me advice, lift my spirits, give me tough love, make me laugh. All of you have helped me in my quit in one way or another and I do thank you all.

For us that still fall in between...thank goodness for our Elders that have guided us to where we are today. I think the path has been set for us. I choose the path to freedom and I believe that sticking with this program will lead me there. Think N.O.P.E (Not One Puff Ever) and be Proud of Being an EX!

Thanks to everyone who got me this far! Without your friendship and strength I would not have seen this day.

Now, I am going to take my meter down. I have my silk quit meter, so I know to the second how long I have been quit. It really no longer maters to me. Milestones are great, but like I said the journey ahead will be so much more exciting.
