Sixteen days and counting….
These days my strongest thoughts of smoking come as I finish a meal. Into my mind pops a clear vision of sitting back and enjoying a smoke. Definitely looking forward to having that one fade! I remind myself that I no longer do that and then I sip my water, take some deep breaths and move on. I am still not seriously tempted to have that smoke, though in these early days the “letting go” is still taking strong conscious effort. That said, I know that the day-to-day is getting better and will continue to do so. Now I will take some time to enjoy watching the birds at the feeders by my front window. 🙂
