It's been a while since I have posted anything, feel like I need to check in.

My quit date was 7/11/2020. I have now made it over a WHOLE YEAR with no cigarettes. Not a single puff.

I can't believe how far I have made it. Other than the random intrusive thought (usually when by myself, driving past the places I used to stop to smoke), I don't really think about it.

This time, last year, I was counting minutes, seconds, hours, just trying not to squirm out of my own skin. My anxiety was through the roof, I felt like I couldn't breathe, I was emotional, and I wondered to myself whether sleep would ever come again. And I was on this site every day, multiple times a day.

I am so grateful to this site and its members. I do not know if I could have made it through those first days/weeks/months alone. Maybe I could have, but thanks to you, I did not have to.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

@noetoez  So good to hear from you.  Big congrats on 1 year of success--that's fabulous.  I know how much that one year anniversary meant to me.   Glad you  stopped by to share your accomplishment with new quitters.

..and thank YOU for taking our advice, getting through those early days knowing it was going to get better, and being successful.  I LOVE it when folks come back to celebrate with us!

I am proud to present you with a key to the 6% Club (statistics show only about 6% of people who quit make it to a year smoke free):

..and, please, never - ever forget there will not be a "just one" to you - ever!

Congratulations on your first year!
