Kind of ironic to hear the spokesman from the American Cancer Society talk about how addictive nicotine is when the American Cancer Society accepts $1 million a year from GlaxoSmithKline to put its logo on nicotine packaging. Increasing nicotine in cigarettes actually reduces the health risks to nicotine addicts. Smoking is all about getting a drug fix. If you can can the desired fix by smoking fewer cigarattes, that's a net gain -- the same as switching to nicotine gum to satisfy the addiction in place of some of the cigarettes each day. Low nicotine cigarettes actually tend to make nicotine addicts smoke more cigarettes. It's all about getting the dose.
You can agree or disagree, its up to you, however, Tabacco industry, Food, pharmaceutical companies, They are all liers, they lie about the preservitives, additives and chemicals in our food, the drug company's lie about the safety of the drug, so on and on. It rampant everywhere. Lie steal, cheat, kill, what does it matter to them, its all about MONEY, and thats the way it will always be.
Something else I noticed re cigarettes is that they are made to burn up faster so that I'd have one sucked down a lot quicker and be looking for another right away! I am SO grateful to be away from all that!
Yeah it seems like the more I educate myself and others about just what cigarettes really are, it makes my determination even stronger. They're not just white sticks with some brown burnable substance in it with an orangie colored filter. It's a nail meant to secure a coffin for you. Each nail brings you closer to death and I'm not gonna let that happen. For myself or anyone else if I can help it. I don't see how tobacco company employees can sleep at night knowing, that their product kills millions everyday. The money they receive comes from people they will eventually see die. Its kinda like robbing the sick. Or robbing the dead.
