I have had a terrible week. 3:45 AM Wednessday i got a call form my mother who is an overweight asthmatic who dose not have health insurance and hasnt seen a doctor in 20+ years. She was having a hard time breathing and needed my help. I went straight to her house. When i got there she was barly breathing. I got her to the ER and she was admitted to the Hospital for 3 days. She has frequant breathing treatments, cortisteroids. Because of the steroin she had high blood preasure and high sugar. She with given reguar blood preasure meds and insilin. She is home now with regular medicatione for asthma and high blood pressure. The day she was discharged i has a gallbladder ultrasound early in the morning. That afternoon i got a call form the Dr. telling me to go straight to the ER. When i got there my blood was drawn. The Dr. came in to tell me that the ultrasound showed inflamation, sign of a serious infection and my gallbladder is filled with gall stones and needs to be removed. The infection was ruled out so i didnt have to have IV antbiotics. They sent me home with instructions to contact this specialist to schedal my sugery. I have been beyond stressed this week. I thought my mother was going to die. That i was severly ill(kinda). Now i have the doom of an up comming sugery hanging on my mind. On top of it all my husband started smoking again the same day...I was an emotional wreck..

okay.  That's all so harsh, mama.  I'm so sorry to hear it and concerned.  Are you okay to just keep putting one foot in front of the other?

It sure will get better. Going back to smoking will never bring you happiness. Hopefully you will stay quit and your husband will follow your lead again soon. Continue to reach out---we are here for you.

Well congrats on keeping your quit!! You sure did have a rough week But its over and being a non smoker will be real good for your surgery. Just think how nice its gonna be to say no I do not smoke when asked by all those health care people! I thought it was the greatest thing.
