Starting Over Again

So..it's been a rough couple months but I'm starting over and getting back on track today! Even though I was "sneaking" a couple here and there -- I tried to justify to myself that I wasn't really smoking again -- what a RIP!!! Either you are or you aren't -- ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Yesterday I quit lying to myself and decided to GET REAL!!!

My last quit involved Chantix. I cried all the time and was an emotional wreck so I stopped taking it after two weeks. The previous times I've tried to quit, I used the patch. It just lost it's affect for me and I ended up "sneaking" while having it on. So...last night I went to get the nicotine gum. I've never used it and thought trying something different might help!! I've been using it today and I have to say, I love IT!!! It's immediate. When I'm craving, I just pop in a piece of the gum. I'm determined to kick the ASH and I know in order to do that, I have to stay strong, stay connected with others on this website and surround myself with support. It's a hard habit to break but I want to LIVE!!!

Thank you to everyone who's been supporting me.

Because one day you will look back and say "OMG!! I haven't had a cigarette in a whole year!!!"

I tried Chantix too. Earlier this year it did help and I was off for about two months. But it did make me very emotional and at times suicidal so I knew I couldn't use it anymore. I'll have to rely on patches and lozenges or gum. Good for you for getting back on and quitting again. You can do it. We can all do if we make up our minds to do it and stay strong and stick with a plan.

Promise Yourself
(one the most classic inspirational quotes)

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to
every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel like there is
something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your
optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best,
and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the
greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give
every living person you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, and too
strong for fear, and to happy to permit the
presence of trouble.
