Sorry I'm rambling!

Before I forget our friend our Hump day camel George, he wants me to mention that it's Hump Day! Now I'll ramble on 😁 I found this community on line and joined it back on the 22nd of June in 2014,I had only gotten internet that February so I was pretty green at doing anything on line! 😯 My husband had quit smoking after 42 years on the 25th of April for health concerns (copd) BUT I continued to smoke outside of course thinking I was just fine BUT in June I had a Drs appointment with a specialist totally unrelated to my lungs BUT he listened to them AND sent me for a breathing test which showed mild copd! I was stunned BUT realistically what did I EXpect after 40 years of smoking at least 30 a day with at least a half dozen failed attempts at trying to quit emphasis on TRYING otherwise one of those failed attempts would've stuck! Anyway I read everything I could find right here on this site which strengthened my resolve to take my life back, I picked a quit date BUT when that day arrived I wasn't ready so I reset it and to make a very long story a little bit shorter here I am living my Forever Quit! I didn't tear my hair out or rip anyone's face off although it would've been really easy to rip my husband's off LOL! 🤣 Nobody else wanted to be around me BUT the grandchildren were EXactly what I needed AND still are because I wanted AND still want to be around with the best quality of LIFE possible to enjoy the little things in LIFE that's actually the the big things in LIFE! There's definetly life after the horrid Nicotine Poison AND it's pretty fantastic once you get through the roller coaster ride into that good place in your quit where you realize just how much better life is as an EXer! Sticking with our QUITS IS TRULY GIVING OURSELVES THE GIFT OF LIFE! 🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉

I want to thank this great community of awesome folks for helping me AND so many others through some pretty horrid cravings and moodswings! You helped me stick it out, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that no matter where we are in our quits that WE MUST ~ N.E.F ~ NEVER EVER FORGET ~ JUST HOW HORRIFIC DAY ONE WAS OR THOSE EARLY DAYS AND WEEKS WERE! I still smile at each and every Day WON! 😁 Vigilance is key to Freedom! The CHOICE is Ours!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
