I've decided to move up my q-date to November 30th instead of the original December 31st date! I'm so ready to do this. I'm tired of this addiction and I truly believe I can do this. As mentioned in my previous blogs, I've been successful with weaning down and now I'm at 4 or less cigarettes for almost a week and a half straight.  Recently, I've noticed my sense of smell is stronger and I feel more energized than I used to. Also, when I'm out in public, let's say waiting for the bus, I keep completelt away from every person smoking a cigarette near me. It's amazing how things can change so quickly when you take the right approaches to get there. I will keep going! I keep telling myself that everyday.

I've received an extreme amount of support from smokers wanting to quit, ex-smokers and my non-smokers friends. I appreciate every bit!! I will continue to do reading on how to stay quit so I am fully prepared when the day comes and also in the process of figuring out other positive methods to take. Who knows, maybe the date can be moved up further? I'll make sure to take it one step at a time though and will continue keeping track. You can't go from 0 to 100 in one go right. Step by step, I'm confident I'll reach my goal~

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm here to support anyone as well. Stay strong, Keep going!

Well good for you!  Only you know when the time will be right and since you have successfully weaned yourself down to 4 a day you have shown a great deal of strength. You CAN do this!

Way to go on your great decision!! No sense prolonging it and making it loom there!

For me, both times I have ever quit in my life (really quit) was with this place, and I have to tell you, the only day that was really uncomfortable was Day 1, after that I knew what to expect and what things felt like, I knew how to deal with them. I hope this for you. It's really how you look at things and realize what you're feeling and going through so you can sympathize with your own self.

This place is awesome, and you will do so good by just sticking on these blogs!

Congrats on your terrific decision!

Hugs!

Good Decision! We'll be here for you every step of the way! We got your back! So make up your mind that yes, you'll feel a bit crummy for about a week ( like you have the flu) but if you're serious about quitting you'll never ever have to do that week again and you may be uncomfortable but you will survive!!!! Then the dividends start rolling in!!! And keep coming for months - even years afterward!!! Well Worth It! Best Wishes!

I did the same thing, I had thought about quitting after Thanksgiving, but once I succesfully cut back my cigarettes and was tracking each and every one... I thought... why delay this longer?  I was actually getting EXCITED about quitting!  I was reading the blogs here and other websites, and I was thinking, Hey!  I CAN do this!  So I moved my quit date up to the 15th.  I haven't smoked for 3 whole days!  I've had my ups and downs, but I feel AMAZING!  Keep up the good work and stay positive!
