Hi tbone, I'll add you as a friend AND in the meantime educate yourself about this addiction and the mind games it plays on you< THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT to help you get your mind in the right place....ALSO fill out your page with your smoking history, method of quitting (cold turkey, patches, etc...) and what is motivating you to quit...(NO personal info like email,etc.).... here are your own links to read...
if you read the above mentioned book from nancy it will be so much easier than you think. this book is titled "how to quit smoking the easy way", and if you finish it you will be ready to quit without anxiety about it. this a great time for you to start reading it he tells you to keep smoking till your done, i did and by the time i was done reading it i knew i would never smoke again and i have not wanted to smoke or missed it at all since a little lost at first but i really love my smoke free life its so much better than i could have imagined i smoked 1-1/2 pks a day for 32 years. you can do this get busy reading! ill add you. even before you quit come onto this sight often and jump into the blogs it will be helpful in getting your head in the right place.
Yep, sure enough, I see that sick of it (Nancy) has posted a couple of really positive sites here for you. Read and read and did I say read? Education and a positive attitude will go a long way towards your successful quit j. Reading these blogs and the responses also helps to further your education.
We've got a saying around here: Pick what you need and leave the rest.
Very important to remember because we are a very diverse group of people who are all here for the same reason (to quit and maintain that quit). That doesn't mean we are of one mind tho!
I'm happy you blogged so fast and w are here to help you help yourself. Blog often!

Welcome! Yeah it's scary, I was scared, but it was much easier, especially after I read the above book. Also when I quit, I read www.whyquit.com everyday too.
Hey Tbone, I am right there with you, my quit date is this Saturday, I am nervous but excited at the same time. Hang in there, we will fight it together and get through it one day at a time 🙂
Hey will add you as soon as I figure out how!! LOL I suck at blogs! Welcome!! I will be visiting a friend in Mesa in April! I live in Oregon! I understand your feelings, I'm tapering down right now and have my quit date set for April 13th but don't think I really want to drag this out that long. Send a '911' anytime. I try to stay online most of the time.
