So I'm Back...Again.

Ugh, where to even begin?? So I quit smoking a little more than 3 years ago, and was quit for about 4 months. Then I gave in, smoked, and never looked back. It was like one little smoke was all it took for me to get back to being a full pack a day smoker. So now I am back again. My new (and hopefully forever) quit date was Nov 29th.  I am doing well so far, kinda broke all the "rules" for quitting this time. Didn't plan for it, make a start date or anything like that. I just ran out of cigarettes and decided not to buy more. I'm not telling anyone I have quit, just telling people "I am not smoking today" because quitting forever seems overwhelming. I am using some nicotine gum, and that helps with the worst of the cravings. Anyway, I am back here because I remembered all the support I got here last time and figure it couldn't hurt to have a few people in my corner this time. Thanks for being here!

Hi.  Glad you are back.  I made you a friend awhile back.  OK?  Be good to yourself.  Prosper,

Hi! I didn't know you before, but I'm glad to see you back. 🙂 We're all here in your corner! Congratulations on Day 10! Don't think too much about last time. Remember the triggers, remember what made you lapse, then move ahead.

Btw, love the haircut! Super cute.

Nicole,

Welcome back.

You've come to the right place, if you've decided to stop smoking.

This site has helped me quite a bit.  You're doing good, I'm only at Day 5.

Congrats on committing to your diecision to quit. I quit nearly a year ago for my forever quit, but in the past, I had been a serial quitter which taught me the lesson about how serious it is to relapse. Like you I went more than a year between relapses.

I hope you have looked at some of the nicotine addiction material. The best website for this is quitsmokingonline.com.  There is a short online course that will really help you with the education and also in the commitment department.
