I want to let all those who remember Skygirl (aka Nancy) knowthat her beloved husband , Jeff, has been moved to hospice.  Jeff is suffering from ALS.  Nancy was very active here on the site, and especially at our get togethers, until she began working full-time to take care of him.  It might be helpful for any early in their quits to read her insightful and well written entries:  https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/10346 She was a flight attendant for United, and was a main proponent of biting into a lemon to stop a crave.  She kept one in her pocket and bit away at it while she worked, too!

My heart is breaking for them.  Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
