I had a minor slip-up on Friday night at a party and smoked two cigarettes. Drinking and smoking have always gone hand in hand for me, and I should have known better than to have a few drinks that night. I just ended up thinking "screw it, one won't hurt, I'm just having a good time." And of course, I *know* that's how I ended up back in this dreadful quitting cycle again.

So I slipped. But I haven't had one since then, and that's the most important thing, right? In the past, I've been one of those people who slip and then go out and buy a pack, because I slipped, so I might as well just start smoking again... I have the same trouble with working out. I miss a couple workouts and then go stuff my face with junk food because I slipped, so oh well! So I consider it a small victory that I haven't smoked since that night, and just for that, I'm not resetting my ticker thing. I can't face day zero again anyway. Week 2, here I come!!!
