I hope you have been using the time leading up to your date wisely, and that you have been reading, planning, preparing?  If not - get busy!  These days are as important as the days after you quit.  Know your enemy - get ready for it!!!

Can't wait to accompany you on your journey.  Be sure to stay close and ask questions when you have them and for support when you need it!

Stay close!

are you taking any time off work? Have you planned to take the first day off?  have you signed up for any counselling? our local hospital addictions unit has a councelling program for getting off nicotine. use all the helps that are out there. You have to learn what a horrid addiction smoking is, so when that little voice says 'oh, won't one puff be nice?"  you will recognize that voice as the voice of the addict lying to you.  welcome to our group. I'm glad you are here.  My brother who is ten years younger than me died on the 10th of Dec. this year , lung cancer.  So every single person like you who has decided to quit is a real blessing. A note to me from the universe. There are good things happening. And your deciding to quit is one of them. it is a fight between good and evil and you have come over from the dark side. Now, have you got your quit tool box ready?  have you got in the supplies you need?  yes, you will need quit supplies,  throw all your ashtrays, lighters etc in the garbage. If you smoked indoors you will have to do lots of cleaning. Lots cause cigarettes are so dirty and stinky. Quitting smoking is not about doing nothing (although if that helps, do it, somedays I slept the day away, rather than smoke) you will be really busy once you quit smoking because you will have time to do things. Start making a list .... YoungAtHeart‌ where is the list?  Any big projects?  You will have the time to do it.  congrats, by the way, this is a terrifically good decision.
