Maybe something to ponder? When you are  tempted to smoke, Realize at least one very important detail:

THIS IS YOUR LIFE YOU ARE PLAYING WITH HERE!

I had a small stroke two years ago, and I quit immediately after that. How many stories have you heard? There are people right here on this website providing testimony of their stories. People with cancer, COPD, emphysema, blood clots, and a host of other troubles. I have atrial fibrillation, and I will be on meds for it for the rest of my life. When you are contemplating that "just one," don't forget to ask yourself, is this worth DYING FOR, because that is what you are risking? It's not just that you will feel terrible, or smell terrible, or you will feel bad because you lost your quit. Again:

THIS IS YOUR VERY LIFE!

Don't play games with life, it is far too precious a gift to destroy with ignorance.

Read, study, blog, get informed, and SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Thanks for the reminder - giving in to this drug is saying that it's worth my very life, that the sensation of setting some dried leaves on fire and sucking them into my lungs is worth DYING for.

Saving a child, or a family member, or a complete stranger from a burning building is worth dying for. Standing up for your civil and human rights is worth dying for. THIS shit isn't worth a one-second glance, much less OUR LIVES. What has nicotine ever done for us, besides take our money and our health at terrifying rates while the people who love us have to stand by and watch us self-destruct under its insidious, evil influence? Nothing. Not ever. Nicotine is a parasite that takes, and takes, and takes, and in the end destroys the very host that it lives on.

A parasite isn't worth dying for. Stay strong and stay clean.

Thanks for reminding us of how dangerous this drug really is!  Sometimes, when we are feeling weak, we can forget this.  You have helped many people, here, today with this blog.  I know your blogs always help me.  Even though I have made it past my first 100 days, and have dealt with my sister's health issue's from smoking.....I still have those moments of mental weakness.  But, I will always remind myself of NOPE!!!!

We can't say it enough! It's a Matter of BREATH or DEATH! I quit the week that I was diagnosed with COPD but many folks don't even quit then! What does it take? Thank You Break!
