Ah...the beliefs of an addicted mind once more proven to be the opposite. I thought I was pretty laid back but after quitting I felt the tension just ooze from my body. More things to discover Princess. Keep on Keepin on.
i toook quit smoking classes at a big hospital in my first 5 months quit (it was an 8 week course-i just kept signing up) and the nurse,a cetified tobacco specialist explained to the group that smoking is stress inducing.sounds crazy eh?She explained that when not smoking the smoker is in Withdrawal and that relxed feeling is the Withdrawl relief.
You being more relaxed doesn't sound crazy at all.
Not one puff no matter what!
Moe smoke free since 2/5/10 a former 3.5 pack a day smoker
I feel the same way! It turns out that the cycle of addiction causes all kinds of stress! Once we break out of that - we feel much calmer! Congrats to you!
I too felt so much less stress after I quit. I just learned to not sweat the small stuff. Not having to go through withdrawal every hourt sure helps. It just gets bettter....promise
This is one of those "Ah Ha" moments....isn't it amazing what our brian will let us think in order to keep pumping nicotine into it......crazy, huh!!!!
Same here...thought that it was calming me down but the truth was that it caused me more anxiety and stress. It may sound silly but since my quit I have felt kind of bored...lol...I will find something healthier to do with my time. Congrats!
