OK....so after a quick opinion poll......TODAY IS MY QUIT DAY....after 288 days.  Thanks for the comments, I am very sad to have to do this.  Thought I was better than that but things just got the best of me.

I am looking forward to being here every day with my fellow Xer's and value your input.  I will be here often for the next few days anyway......it helps me not to be grouchy.......After the first week for me at least, it gets much easier.

   Thanks everyone.

   Happy Quit day to me!!!

Happy quit day.  I have to tell you that I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach when I read that 288 free days...that is how many days I have as of today.  You KNOW that it gets easier, you have been there.  I am so sorry you have to start over but so happy for you that you ARE doing that now!

Best, Ellen

Thanks Ellen.......I know.  and I am sad it happened.  Was it worth it....NO!  But with the great people here I do know I can do this.  Have to think positive and move on.

I just read your other blog, Jonny, so sorry you gave up your quit! It sounds like it was kind of over several days or weeks, or even months. I so wish you had come here instead of having that first one! So glad you are back, and take good care of you.

You absolutely can do this and you will! This time with a "Forever Quit" mentality!

Yes Jonny you are doing the perfect thing! Yes It's a lot of days to "lose" but they do still count in learning and experience! Just come on back up here on the wagon. I've had to reset several times. Started my quit journey back in March. I'm on Day 5 now of a great new beginning - staying close here is REALLY helping. We're here for you! Share what you've learned and keep moving forward!

I had someone email me and tell me about your slip. The reason they did this is because a little over a year ago I slipped after 288 days..  I quit Oct 15, 2012, then I slipped for a couple of days the end of July 2013, Then my new quit date was.... Aug 1, 2013 and my one year anniversity  was  Aug 1 2014. Dont hesitate..get right back on your quit...it's not the end of the world...that should have reinforced your quit by reminding you how bad it smelled and tasted.

288 is just a number....your being honest with your friends at EX is a great start to be honest with yourself, and building the foundation for a successful quit.
