I knew food was going to start tasting different once I quit, and I actually thought it would taste better! Instead, EVERYTHING is tasting way too salty!! What's up with that?
Is it possible that you just couldn't taste the salt before? I have noticed that since I quit I have not had to use as much seasoning/salt/pepper on the things I used to need to. I think your sense of taste is just coming back to "normal". Enjoy a beautiful smoke free day 🙂
@jonescarp: The pool water tasted salty, the au jus that came with my prime rib was extremely salty to me, but not to my husband, potatoe chips are really salty, but no...drinking water is not salty! I will defiently be seasoning food differently, and if my husband finds it bland, he should quit smoking!!
In the beginning everything, yes JC, everything tasted salty 🙂 It was pretty much gone by about the end of the first month and all is back to normal tasting and good. Actually I've become addicted to popcorn, but if and when I eat chips, I buy the low salt ones.
