Share your quitting journey
Today, we're excited to start the EX Community Advisory Board (ECAB) again!
In this blog post, we'll go into the history of ECAB, its purpose, and how you can help make our community better.
First, we’d like to acknowledge that ECAB has been quiet for some time. We created the group a few years ago when we were switching to a new community platform. ECAB wasn't originally designed with a long-term plan in mind.
However, we believe that there is great value in reactivating this advisory board. Why? To give all EX Community members the opportunity to shape how this space evolves over time.
EX and the EX Community are owned and run by Truth Initiative. This is a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas about how to quit smoking, vaping, dipping/chewing, or using any other type of tobacco.
We want to make sure that it stays a great place to connect, get support, learn, and have fun for many years to come. As a member of this community, we want to hear your ideas!
To make ECAB an inclusive and accessible program, we've decided to open its doors to anyone who wishes to participate.
There will be no specific requirements or minimum thresholds to meet in order to join ECAB. However, we feel it is reasonable to expect ECAB members to be active contributors and participants to stay in the group. These expectations apply to the quantity and quality of your contributions within the group, as well as your conduct in the broader EX Community.
As ECAB members, we expect you to be model members of our community. This means actively being part of constructive conversation, sharing critical feedback, and raising important concerns within the designated ECAB group.
By providing this dedicated space, we expect that you will use it to contribute meaningfully to grow and improve the EX Community overall.
We’re excited to bring back the EX Community Advisory Board (ECAB)!
We know ECAB has been “on pause” for a while, and we need to figure out its new role in our changing community. Your investment, involvement, and voices are what make this platform thrive. We want to ensure your thoughts and ideas continue to shape the EX Community for the better.
Stay tuned for more updates on ECAB. We will be sharing details on how you can become a part of this revitalized advisory board.
