Rest and balance

Well, I didn’t nap yesterday, but I did lay down for a bit.  I have a hard time sleeping in the middle of the day but I did get some much needed rest.  I locked myself in the bedroom, got comfy on the bed and watched some TV.  That really helped my mood yesterday.

Reading some of the comments and going back over some material, I saw that what I was feeling was normal.  I think I was pushing myself too hard.  I tried to distract myself by cleaning, working harder at work and I even took on a 2nd job doing some administrative work for a friend.  Between my full time job, my home and family and this 2nd job, I’m just not getting enough rest.  Add to it the stress of quitting, along with its lovely symptoms, and I was a walking time bomb.  So, I took yesterday afternoon for myself, to rest and regain some energy and strength.

I do feel better today, I slept well last night and I feel rested.  I have to remember to not take on so much and not push myself so hard.  I have a lot of extra energy lately and with trying to keep myself distracted, I think I am doing too much.  I need to refocus and find a nice balance.  I think I’ll make that a goal for this week and see how it goes.

I do know this….I will figure this out and I will not give up!  I will not quit on my quit.  It is working.  I can feel some benefits already.  I can do this!  I’ve got this!

You sound wonderful today.  You absolutely do have to take care of yourself in order to really take care of your quit.  You are doing this, it is one day at a time and there are NO shortcuts.

Ceana, you sound good this morning, glad you got some rest.  Also, balance is a great goal, it is possible to be too busy, and not have the time (read: energy) to devote to yourself and your Quit.  REally like your attitude, not quitting on your Quit, and confidence in yourself!  You Can do this, glad you are doing it here/1  Congrats on another day Won!

So happy you realized what was going on and are taking steps to correct it!

Good on you!  It's how this is done - learning something EVERY day!

Yes you Can!  You sound great this morning, I'm so glad for you.  Sounds like you learned quite a bit from the experience, and that is the way it works.  Each time you get through an urge or crave, or any withdrawal situation, it provides greater distance between you and your last Nicotine use, and it makes you stronger and better able to handle the next.  So hang in there, read and study and continue to blog. Yes you can and are doing this!  Best to you.

Great job. Your body is working hard in drug withdrawal right now, learning to settle in to it's new normal. I'm getting tired just remembering how draining it ca be . . .
