I don't know how many times I have read on people's blogs about how they had quit smoking but then life took a nosedive and finances got tight so they started to smoke again!  Finances are bad so you start smoking?  Spending money on cigarettes?  Do you see the insanity of addiction here?  IF we let it, it will convince us to do the most asnine things!!!!!

This is not a slam to anyone who has done this, but it better be a reality check!!!  Do you hear yourself think???  Do you listen to the boatload of crap that the addict in you convinces you makes perfect sense????  THIS is where the real battle lies.....in the mind!!!!  Where the mind goes, the man/woman follows!!  The bible very wisely counsels us to "take every thought captive!!!"  Why?  Because what you LET yourself think, will be the direction you take!!!

If finances are an issue, the last thing you want is an addiction to feed!!!!  Reclaim your finances as you reclaim your health and FREEDOM back from this addiction!!!!!  Don't listen to the BS....you're smarter than that!!!  You have been deceived and controlled long enough!!!  Kick the little buggers to the curb and get on with your LIFE!!!

And if you end up with a whole bunch of money that you don't know what to do with, you can always buy the stuff that's spammed all over this site!!!! -.-

Oh My Gosh!  I LOVED THIS POST!  I know just what you mean about the battles in the mind and I let the addiction take over again for 2yrs!  I'm back now and better educated about this addiction!  Thank you for making me LOL!!

Thanks for this blog Connie. I really do understand the seriousness of what you’re saying here but I had to laugh. At myself really because of the things I know I did & told myself just to feed the addict. It’s funny to me now but I was dead serious then & I believed every word of it. We hate if others prove us gullible but can't/refuse see through the lies we tell ourselves. Anything to feed the monster.

Six years, ten months, three weeks, one day, 8 hours, 27 minutes and 39 seconds. 75520 cigarettes not smoked, saving $15,104.11. Life saved: 37 weeks, 3 days, 5 hours, 20 minutes.

As always you take the truth and present it in such a way that we can not hide from it! Is it any wonder that you are so beloved here? Thank you, once again, for helping us all see the insanity that we once so readily submitted ourselves to! True wisdom from a Mother. Goose or no goose! Love you Connie!

You are so right - our thoughts are a DISCIPLINE!  We CAN control them, we just have to practice!!!!!
