Man, I've never been more excited for the weather to get cold. You see, I get to watch all the smokers at work suffer outside during -20F wind-chill advisories (so they can "enjoy" their "habit"), while I'm spending my breaks nice and warm inside. Therapy. 😄

It really does seem ridiculous that I stood outside in below zero temperatures to SMOKE. Those sure weren't enjoyable cigarettes. (Does anyone remember how much WORSE cigarettes tasted in cold weather?) But I did it anyway. That's where addiction sets in. It takes away your ability to reason properly!

In other news, I got approved for my first credit card today! I wonder how much debt I would be getting myself into if I still smoked

I actually think it's funny, every time I applied for a credit card while I still smoked, I got denied. Now all of a sudden, my first time applying since I quit, and I got approved first try... Hmm.... Interesting coincidence, no?
 🙂

Life is good. I love being able to sit with my cat on my lap and not have to worry about the fact that, in addition to the damage I'm doing to myself,  I'm poisoning her, and shortening her lifespan.

I'm so glad to have quit at this point in my life. I feel like I've given myself a second chance.

Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great smoke free week!

-John

I have been smoke (and nicotine) free for 2 Months, 3 Weeks, 1 Day and 48 minutes (84 days)! I've saved $613.44, and 1 Week, 1 Day and 4 hours of my time, by not smoking 1,680 cigarettes.
