Quitting Update

I am so happy to say that at day 66 I am pretty much off the NRT.  I used the nicotine gum to help me quit and the last two days I haven't had any of it.  Instead I just chewed regular gum.  I will keep one or two pieces with me just in case, but that would only be for an emergency.  I am doing well and I appreciate all the support the folks here have given me.  I will say, No Man's Land is an interesting place, trying to navigate in this new world of freedom from smoking is a journey of self-discovery for sure!!  The initial excitement about being a quitter has toned down, but I still feel quite good about my decision to kick that killer out of my life; and milestones are still important.  Today will be day 3 without NRT!!!  Yay!!  Hope your days are filled with good things.

I am 59 years old and love my four dogs and two cats, all strays I couldn't turn away. I love to be outside in my yard, watching the birds or puttering around in the dirt. I am so grateful that I let go of those inner voices that kept telling me, It is too late to quit smoking, or, Why quit now? I am so looking forward to being smoke-free.
