Oh my goodness! I was quit for years and my Dad passed away...It took me a couple years of unmonitered and totally uneducated 'smoking thoughts' but I smoked again as well...

I quit 5 days before my birthday November 2012 and just celebrated one year quit again! WELCOME!

Do the suggested reading and blog often. We are here for you! xo

I am glad you found us.  Have you decided what quit aid, if any, you will be using?  Have you set a quit date?

I second the recommendation to use this time to educate yourself on what nicotine does to your mind and body.  Allen Carr's book is a MUST toward this end!

We want to help you be successful.  Let us know how!

Welcome and congrats on deciding to quit! For many of us here doing some prep work really helped. Check out the free course at - http://quitsmokingonline.com/ and Carr's "Easy Way to Stop Smoking" -http://media.wix.com/ugd/74fa87_2010cc5496521431188f905b7234a829.pdf

Stick around!

I LIVED in Quitnet June 2007...studied trigger, stategies, blogs,,,everything...so intent was I to quit, I didnt leave the choice of smoking OFF the table enough

Im armed w/ nicotine lozenges, so far havent needed them, for I would leave the pack on my truck, and smoked 1-15 during the day, sometimes one b4     bed

I understand NOW that for me, even half a pack huts my lungs:(, that I cant smoke anymore

well, its day 2...a bit shaky at 2 times this morning...some oatmeal pancakes and coffee 0 sickaretes

might take a nic lozenge on my way todinner at 2 this afternoon...the LESS I feed the Nicodemon, the faster he dies..I already know the deep breathinhg excersizes from Quitnet and my last quit.....I'll never let 1 or 2 in again...it led to 14-20 a day, way too much for me......as they say one is too many and a thousand isnt enough
