It’s here it’s really here! Got my list of things to do today when I feel the desire come on. I am planning on just keeping my mind and hands busy. I was afraid to wake up this morning I went in kitchen made my coffee like every morning started to smoke on my vape then I remembered NO I’m not doing it this is my quit date and I’m not turning back. I had 1 cup and I am not drinking anymore since it’s one of my biggest triggers. I will need support and encouragement today thank you everyone l

Jenlking758 Yeah .. it is your day...so excited...keep close to us...post when you feel like you need anything, even just to keep busy...encourage others on their journey...that helps keep you busy...early in the quit, don’t think long term, think getting through “moment to moment”...sending good thoughts out to you...~ Colleen 808 DOF

That's exciting.   Day one is the beginning of your journey to being nicotine free.  Glad you got rid of the vape--that shows you're committed!  Stick to your plan and reach out if you need some support.

I hope you did the recommended reading.  If not, it makes a GREAT crave buster.  You might also make the Daily Pledge not to use nicotine here:  FEBRUARY DAILY PLEDGE 2021

A cold bottle of water from which to sip also makes a great distraction and might help end a crave.  Try bringing your coffee to your device and reading  here with it to change up that association with vaping.  The better you get at changing things up, the easier this transition is going to be.  You can search for blogs and responses on quitting vaping by using the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner.

You do this an hour, sometimes a minute, at a time in the early days.

GO Jen!!!

I'm so glad you added that you throw out the vape!  SO important to get rid of all the stuff, including chargers and batteries and pods.

I wrote about my quit here:  https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/AnnetteMM/blog/2019/09/08/how-to-quit-juul-or-vaping-in-ge...

Way to go! Great job. First morning does have a bit of amnesia to it, really. After sleep and a new day, our engines are just restarting in the morning. Very normal to have to remember --wait a minute, new day, new journey.
