I have to share something funny that happened today with everyone. I am a painter--I paint houses. My past life as a smoker included taking smoke breaks throughout the day. The first couple of weeks when quitting really, really sucked. I couldn't quit thinking about smoking. But, thank God is has been much better this week. I go really long periods of time without even giving it a thought! Yeal!!! I'm on day 25. But, today when I got in my truck to come home the weirdest thing happened. My brain said--and I quote--"phone--check, sunglasses--check, water--check, purse/bag--check, cigarettes--?????!!!!! WTF????????!!@@#%%)(*^%". It was just a split second of a thought, but it made me laught out loud!!! That's when I decided Yoda would say "Pretty sneaky addiction--that nicotine is! Well, wanted to share a laugh & a smile with all of you. Hey, we have to have a sense of humor about this stupid addiction. Hope you all had a great day. And if not, maybe I have provided some entertainment value for you. Love you all--Thank you for all of the support. I couldn't wait to get home to tell all of you how funny this quit can be if we will just allow ourselves to relax and enjoy the ride!

it does stupid things like that, for over a month I thought every time I left my house that I had forgotten something, turned out my brain was trying to get me to get my cigarette case, that has stopped now, LOL

I know what you mean. My first "quit" I made myself throw away my cigarette case & when I started back I didn't allow myself the luxury. I quess I thought it would help me not smoke or something???? It felt really good to be able to laugh at it today--instead of cry or curse it!!! My son & grandson just got here. We're going to go swimming. Thanks for the comment. Talk to you later.

Funny, Karen.... I just told my husband this evening that it's nice not having to keep track of where the smokes are. I can just get up and go now and not worry about where I've left them. But you did make me laugh....thanks!
