Prepping to quit vaping, a little about me

Hey y'all!

I've made the decision to quit vaping. It's honestly really intimidating to think about it, but I'm confident that this decision will be beneficial to my long term health.

A little backstory on how I ended up in this situation. A little over a year ago, I had just started my first ever job. Coincidentally, it was also the height of the pandemic and I had recently broken up with my ex. I was more stressed than I had ever been in my life. I was trying to learn calculus (and my other classes) over zoom, while over-seeing 3 different service based clubs. A few of my coworkers would hit their vapes in the back office, and would offer me a hit occasionally. At first I said no, because I didn't want to have an asthma attack. Eventually, the pressure got to me and I caved in. Little did I know, one hit would turn into two, which would eventually lead me to where I am now. This addiction has certainly impacted my life. I was a leader of a church camp, and the adult team ended up searching my bags and finding my vape. That discovery was back in November, when I was still 17, which broke my parents trust with me. I told them I had quit, which was a lie, but now I've made the decision that I want to be the girl I was a year ago. I want to be able to run without having shaky breaths. I want to be able to stop hiding my addiction. I want to overcome the hold nicotine has on my brain.

I'm open to any advice that anyone can offer me. I scheduled my quit date for April 22, 2022:) I'm hoping to maintain these healthy habits that I'm planning on learning when I leave for college in the fall.

Best of luck to everyone else on here! Y'all are taking the biggest step in the right direction<3
