Perception

🙂 18 months today, still free of nicotine addiction. Is the glass half full, or is it my perception that it is half empty? When I first joined EX back in 2008, I had a few feeble attempts at quitting. I didn't get it, couldn't get it...because of my perception. What you feed your brain, becomes your truth. What I fed myself were all negatives..thus a few relapses along the way, until I changed my perception. Rather than looking at becoming nicotine free as a positive, I instead viewed it as a negative venture. How would I cope without my faithful crutch. Again, it is all in our perception...feed your mind positives and you will have positives results. I wake each day and tell myself that I plan to make it a joy- filled day..I wish nothing less for you my friends ❤️

Hi my dear friend, What a great post.   I could not have said it better.    And, for me, that is what it all boiled down to perception.    Life is so much sweeter without cigarettes.   Congratulations and have another joy-filled day tomorrow.   Love you, Mary

Congratulations on your 18 Months!  Wonderful and inspiring to all of us.  Without this support I doubt I would have the positive mindset about my quit.  I would probably be thinking about all that I was "missing" from not being able to smoke anymore instead of the freedom and happiness that I have now being 6 months quit!  Thanks for sharing, we all  need the connections!
