Our dear friend Betty (Froguelady) has had some bad news. After extensive testing, Betty has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She will begin chemotherapy very soon. The good news is that other tests show it has not spread.

I've "talked" to Betty for a long time....but I had the pleasure of meeting her in Tennessee last year. She is a gentle but determined lady who cares deeply about her family and also about this extended family here at EX. Betty has so much on her mind right now.....so much to cope with, so much to accept. In the midst of all this, she asked me to blog and let all of you know. When I asked if she was sure she wanted me to do this she said:

" Yes, I think it's time they know why I am not here. I owe so much to the EX site and all of you for without you I might not have had a forever quit. I think this would be much worse if I had not quit. This is why I am so thankful everyday for EX."

This lady is the definition of strength and courage. In the middle of her issues......she wants us to know she hasn't forgotten us.

Please let her know we have not forgotten her.

Stay Strong Betty------we will be with you in this fight just as we were in the quit.

I quit smoking in 2009 after years and years of addiction. I just became sick and tired of the whole smoking thing. This site was a lifesaver with the support I received...so as you can see, I hung around to help others. I became friends with many people....some are here now and some are gone. Welcome to anyone who is new....this is EX....we are all here for each other.
