This is #4) Tell someone else how much you appreciate them, being able to be open and honest is great for self-worth.
This is one of my personal favorites. It teaches many things. One, it tells you what you actually appreciate in others. We often don't stop and think about that. Being open and honest with someone else about OUR appreciation of them, is making OURSELVES somewhat vulnerable. We're putting ourselves 'out there'. It's a risk. And when we accomplish this task, by an acknowledgment of 'Thank you', or just knowing that we did it, we feel stronger about ourselves thus increasing our feeling of self-worth.
This is a great 28 part exercise that comes from Steven Aitchison: 28 Ways to Increase your Feeling of Self Worth.
Have a great smoke-free day Everyone!
