On Day 245 Another Miracle

Friday was my day 245.

Friday was a worst ever day at work.

No details but suffice to say that people are acting from a place of desperation and resources are insufficient.

During the screaming and threats, a director was summoned by another staff member.

After the crisis was processed, after the incident report was completed, after my tears ended, I walked by the door to the 2nd floor balcony and realized that two hundred and forty six days ago, THE FIRST THING that would have transpired after the crisis would have been a smoke.  or two.  On this day, it wasnt even a thought.

This blog is not about the nasty day Dawn had at work, so please refrain from those comments if you choose to reply.  We all have an occasional "bad day" at work - if we're even fortunate enough to have a job these days.  The point is simply this; we do heal from this addiction.  There does come a day when the struggle is over.

That's inspiring and good to know. I can't wait for the day that I can think "I would have wanted a cigarette" instead of "I want one". I thought the battle was over, but I almost lost it today fighting with my Keurig. I think handling stressful situations w/out smoking is the most difficult to change because we don't know how to deal with stress. I can't wait to be where you are.
