Sitting in So.Cal talking with my hubby about what we hate about consumer culture, the things that people pay money for that are not worth the expense, and that we just don't feel like we need. Fast food, fast cars, fancy clothes. Infact, we try to live our lives in a way that make a positive economic/ecological impact... Recycling, buying local, eating organic.

Then I think about the packs of cigarettes that we finish off each day, paying 8-18 dollars depending on which state we're in... and I think we might be two very duped individuals 😛   I feel guilty everytime I shop at WalMart, but I'll fork over almost $100 a week for something that is killing me and lining big tobacos pockets?

I saw an interestind billboard in New Mexico, it said "Keep tobacco sacred" with a Native American chief and woman looking thoughtfully into the distance. I have NO CLUE what organization put that campaign together, but it certainly makes you think!
