OMG!!! Day 31!!!

Do you know what that means????  A WHOLE MONTH WITHOUT CIGS!!!  Still on the nicotine patch, but getting to the point that I don't want that anymore.  It's just something to hang onto the nicotine.  I don't want that!  It makes me WANT to smoke.  I want the nicotine purely out of my system and that's that!  Think I'll go ahead and switch to step 2... the box says to do step 1 for 4-6 weeks.  It's been 4 weeks.  I'm ready to step down to a lower level of nicotine.

Awesome on 31 days down. Keep us up dated. I have use deifferent  methods in the past.  This time I just filled my brain with all the knowlege given to me by exer's.

I was wondering do you have a plan, for  when  you don't use the patch any more? Cause you will still have a tiny amount left in you.

@windancer97 - Haven't really thought that far ahead.  I'm thinking that I'll eat my Planter's peanuts and maybe some chocolate and then go running off the calories from that... lol!

If you wean yourself down, you shouldn't be getting that much nicotine and the weaning process should not be too difficult.  Just keep in mind that it only takes three days for the nicotine to be gone from your body - so you just may have some withdrawal crap to get through for those few days.  You have come this far - so I know that won't prove too difficult for YOU!

Congratulations on a month!  That is HUGE!

Hotmoma. I like that plan. 🙂  I tore up some pretzel and fudge rounds, the fist few days of my quit . I was eating machine the frist few days. So now I try to grab celery or carrots and some bubble gum.  The most wonderful thing about not smoking . Is you will have engery to do just that.

Great job on 31 wonderful days of freedom.

You are retraining yourself while on the patch. Step down on the patch as you see fit.

You sound great!

Keep up the good work Hotmoma.  Windancer is so right about the energy.  Not only that - the smell, oh the smell.  I love to have my husband and sons smell my hair (OK crazy, I know).  I love not smelling - especially with the humid N.C. weather coming up - I think about sitting on the patio and blowing out smoke that had no air to move in and just clung to my face, hair, clothes, etc.  Keep thinking about how good you are going to smell, and soon how much better you will smell and taste things.  So freeing!!  You can do this;)

Congrats on one month! Stay close here and keep blogging about coming off the patches. I didn't use them - but many did and they can help! You are doing just fine!! Great job!

Congrats on a month smokefree!!! I used the gum and one day I just did NOT want nicotine in my body but I had LEARNED so many coping skills and distractions that I used THEM instead! xo

Nice job Hotmomma. The nicotine in your system won't hurt you. Take your time with the patches. You might feel differently when you reduce to 14 mg. You are doing fine. Be gentle with yourself.
