November 4th is complicated.

The birthday of my late fiance. The birthday of the narcissist who abused me for 20 years. The birthday of the man who knew me best, and used it against me.

I have lots of confusing questions swirling around my head today, but you know one of them that has been definitively answered? "Will a sickerette help?"

That would be a resounding no.

Self-care, meditation, journaling. Those things help. A paper tube filled with poison? NO.

I hope everybody took some time just for them today. You can't pour from an empty cup.
