Not so bad afterall

My hubby and I took a drive and talked.  We decided to save the bank and bills for Monday.  Secretly I think he rather have me deal with the not so fun stuff like bills when he is at work.  So, we ended up at the lake and we walked out to the lighthouse and back.  It was really nice.  We have been avoiding some of our friends and we decided we may have to do that for the next week or so because they are smokers.  I have to bartend on Sunday and I am now thankful that we have the law passed that there is no smoking in bars.  I dont drink ( once in a blue moon ) so that should be ok.  I know myself well enought that if I see my friends smoke I will be way to tempted so I have to lay low for a bit.  My hubby is doing the same thing and we actually enjoyed each others company today.  I am aware that this can backfire and we could end up at each others throats but I honestly dont think that will happen.  I am prepared just in case.  Actually we have been craving at different times today and we have helped each other through it.  We are both sweating like crazy and it isnt all that hot here so I am not sure what that is all about.

I hope you can both be patient with yourselves.   You worked every day to be a smoker, maybe every hour (I don't know how often you both smoked),  so give it some time and work every day to be a non smoker.

Joel Spitzer from "Why quit.com"  said something like you aren't fighting a whole pack or carton, you are only fighting one puff at a time.   That seemed more doable to me.

P.S.  Hey, maybe it's a good idea to deal with the not so fun stuff separately for now and the walk at the lake sounded really nice!
