Not been a great weekend

On Friday mom went to her lung specialist to get her results for the last MRI. They were checking the spots they found on the MRI performed in November of last year. She wanted to wait and see what happened after the holidays. the doctor told her then he did not believe the spot were cancer, but fibrous tumors that could have formed due to her constant bronchitis. Well that is not it. They are still 98% sure it is NOT cancer but it will kill her, Unfortunately her body has begun attacking itself. They have no reason for why this happens, no cure for it, not even a medication to help slow it down, only things to help alleviate the symptoms that come with it. A normally otherwise healthy person they give 5-15 years they really cannot put a limit on it because it all depends on the body's behavior. How ever my mom has not been in the best of health for 3 years now. She currently needs knee surgery, and she has to have a pacemaker before they will even allow her to undergo that kind of surgery, AND she has a cataract forming on her good eye. But it is too early to do anything about it at this point, just another hurry up and wait. Oh did I mention that spring break is this week, I have picked the week my kids will be home and bored to attempt to quit smoking. Boy did I pick the wrong date lol....But I am well aware that life in all of its glory will throw anything my way to keep me addicted. I have to learn new responses to old triggers.
Yesterday we went down to the garage and began cleaning that area up again and hubby finally got some of the brush piles burned. I gave myself a blister using the how and rakes getting up all the weeds and brush that had accumulated around the garage. I am cleaning out closets and clothes this week to get ready for a yard sale this weekend. First weekend of the month so it is the best time to do it. Besides we need the extra money. I would like to get ahead on our bills and have some money left over for things we would like to do as a family. Maybe get hubby to take the first week of June off and take mom on a vacation to Nags Head where she has a condo . It will be her week then and she has not gone in over 8 years. My youngest has never been to the ocean, that may or may not be a good thing lol. He has no fear so we will have to be extra vigilant on keeping him in the house until an adult is there to go with him. Plus itis kinda cool that time of year, too cold to swim in the ocean lol, but not so cold the heated pool doesn't call our names rofl. Plus that will be a fear for me to overcome. Since my youngest was born I have this overwhelming fear of traveling out of state. Which is odd considering I grew up driving between Ky and Virginia. My dad was military so it was a routine for us. All of our family was here in KY and we lived in Virgina. Mom may not feel like it though, need to see what she wants to do. Ok gotta run and go through more clothes lol...woohoo don't I sound soooooo excited??

I'm very sorry to hear about your mother and I hope that she's feeling better soon. Good luck on your garage sale. I hope you sell lots of stuff. You are absolutely doing the right thing by writing about how your life is going and the concerns you have. I believe you're going to do very well with your quit.
