No More Looking for exits!

Attending another graduation ceremony tonight. I used to dread going to this thing because I would look for the exits, and want nothing more than to go outside and light up. Nice not to have to mark the exits anymore. In fact, I would do this for restaurants, movies, any public place. That red sign above the door was one of my best friends. NO MORE! Now I can sit inside, enjoy myself, and not worry about it. : )

Good point, BITC! I did the very same thing. One more good reason to quit.

Another thing I don't miss is dying to get off of the plane and then running through the airport to get outside so I can light up. As if my friggin' life depended on it. How stupid is that?

Best wishes for a successful quit! Keep the focus!

Roger that - I looked not only for the exit door, but for the door that was not near any windows...I didn't want anyone to see my nasty habit so I would not just look for the exit signs, but once outside, I'd have to find the most discreet place possible!  I don't miss being the only one of my group of friends that was constantly excusing herself to head toward the exit door...

Yeah, that always looking for an escape is a decrease in stress all by itself.  Now if only I could not be looking for the nearest bathroom due to always drinking water.

It's amazing noticing stuff like this and realizing how much the habit really did completely take over your life, isn't it? It's so nice to be free!

My smoking was so bad I would take a smoke break half way through shopping at walmart.

I used to  feel like a caged animal when I couldnt get out to have a cigarette during non smoking events.I am so glad that I dont have to worry about that feeling anymore. What a terrible addiction.
