New member spotlight, me? Say what?

Hey all. I'm really honored to be the new member spotlight person. Haven't been as active in the past week or so. Been super busy not smoking. That's right, folks. Smoke free since 10-12. Over a week! Did lots of research on here. Lots of blogging about questions I had. Blogging helps a lot. If you're reading this and are new here, make friends with Dale and Giulia. They give out great advice and will give you tough love. Their pages have a ton of useful links. Especially Allen Carr's book. But I'm proof that you can quit. You have to be committed and positive and informed. Each person is different and needs their own plan that will work for them. I used to look at people's posts that said smoke free for a couple days, weeks, or years. Was so jealous. But now it's me too. It can be you, too. Not promising all rainbows and sunshine, but it's not as tough as you think. You have a great support system here. Thank you so much for everyone's kind, supportive, and sometimes tough love words. Wouldn't be where I am without you.

Congrats on your quit and new member spotlight Marla !

You are doing great and you are right when you say it is not as hard as you think it will be So many ppl think it will be  impossible and  it is not  easy but it is doable and the more you educate yourself and plan your quit the smoother it will be .

I was thinking about you just yesterday.  You sound so proud of yourself, and deservedly so.

Keep going ... and keep letting us know how you are succeeding.  It's music to my ears.

Get a big smoke-free hug and kiss from your sweet, little daughter and have a grand, smoke-free day.
