I have been in training the last month or so to take over for a lady that is retiring.  This is a good opportunity for me.  The company that I work for is small and there is not much room for advancement.  The lady that is retiring is "old school".  The way that she does things works, but it is a lot like the way that it was done 30 or 40 years ago.  She also has a hard time "letting go".  Many of these things that I need to be trained on, I have only had the opportunity to do  once.  Instead of letting me do it under her supervision, she does it and then tells me how to do it.  I am at the end of my rope!!!!  I have explained to her that I learn by "doing" better than by being "told" how to do something.  Nothing that I say to her helps at all.  This coming  Wednesday is her last day - and I guess that it will be time for me to sink or swim.  18 months ago, I would have been "chain" smoking - but not now!  I am now able to handle all this stress without a stinky cigarette hanging out of my mouth!  Yeah me!!!!

I am a 65 year old single woman. I quit smoking at 55 and my only regret is that I did not quit sooner. Freedom from cigarettes is truly a wonderful feeling!
