My husband and I quit together. As I go into day 7, it feels easier with each day to continue on this journey of a better life w/o cigs. However, my husband says it's getting harder for him(he's actually on day 8 because he didn't have a smoke the day b4 our quit date, but I had 2). I smoked in my early 20's, than quit a couple years b4 I turned 30 and stayed that way until just last year. But, my husband has smoked consistantly since he was a teen and he's now 30. Do you think this is why it may be harder for him? He's using the patch, and he says it does help. He's determined to stay quit. We stay busy, either with household chores, outtings, playing with the kids, messing around on the computer, fun activities, etc, but his problem comes when he goes to work!!! He had a routine at work where he'd take care of somethings, than go smoke. Take care of some things, than go smoke. So, now, after he's taken care of somethings, he's trying to break that trigger of thinking he needs to go smoke! He takes herbal tea to work. He stays away from the smoking break area, but, that pull is still strong, so far he's winning, but, it's getting harder for him!! Any suggestions on how to continue to break the smoking cycle at work??
