I started smoking when I was 13. Both of my parents were smokers and all they said (at that time it was believed smoking was not bad for you) was "it will stain your teeth" HA HA what a joke. I live in New York (about an hour or so from Manhattan) I noticed that my father quit smoking when he turned forty five (1978), my mother did not. Dad is still around today and Mom died in 2003( pancreatic cancer). If that does not say it all to me nothing else will.
Until recently I was a real estate agent and for obvious reasons have gotten out of the Biz. Never really made alot of money in the biz anyway. I think I spent more time telling people not to buy when it was obvious they really could not swing it no matter what BS the mortgage guys were saying. That kind of attitude does not make for a successful realtor. At least I can look myself in the mirror and sleep at night (till I quit - sleep still a challenge for me-do not get more than 5 hrs) Looking for a new way to make money-Oh well everything happens for a reason!! I only wish I had quit when my kids were young, I have alot of guilt smoking in the house, car, and around them. Thank god they seem to be healthy despite me and they are all in college now.
