My opinion on Vaping/E-Cigs

Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things to do in life. When quitting the one thing that happens to always come up is Vaping or E- Cigarettes. When I stopped smoking the first time this is the route I chose. It was the biggest mistake of my life. You start vaping in order to stop smoking but all it does is give you another resource of nicotine and most the time the juices the companies put out offer you just as much nicotine is a cigarette would if not more depending on how much you put it to your mouth. It stops becoming a resource to quit smoking and a new excuse to do it just in another way. I finally quit vaping after four years and it was the hardest experience of my life. The withdrawal you go through is unlike any other. I don’t recommend using vaping or E cigarettes has a way to stop smoking I went right back to it once I stopped vaping and now am starting all over again with cold turkey quitting.

I just welcomed you in your last blog post...Helping others when you are quitting, will help you greatly in your journey.

Ex’s doesn’t promote vaping/ecigs etc., I see them all as addictions...and just switching one for another is not quitting...

I call vaping "smoking with a battery"

I have never vaped so I really shouldn't even comment.  But from what I've read (and I pay a LOT of attention to what people have said on this site) the majority of experiences seem to indicate that people who start vaping to quit smoking generally go back to smoking.  There are also those who used vaping as a method to get off cigarettes and it worked for them.  There's a true believer in Vaping here, one Mr. "Intervention" who quit smoking and happily vapes ever after, encouraging other to do the same.  And has a host of credentials, including being a man of the cloth.  So... each to their own.  Whatever works - works.

For myself, never having vaped, I can imagine the glee I would have found in that substitute, after I got used to it.  For I suspect the normal routine of holding and lighting a cigarette is not the same with vaping.  So there's a certain amount of adjustment.  (But nobody has ever spoken of that, interestingly.)  Same hand-to-mouth connection, however, but with all the different FLAVORS offered?  Sounds delish! to my brain.   I wonder if they have a garlic pod liquid???  Hmmmm.  Yum.  Kidding of course.  As much as I like garlic.

Think I'll pose that question to group.  Thanks for the brain spurring!

I agree with your "take" on vaping.  But SMART TURKEY‌ is a better way to go than cold-turkey, in my book.
