it’s been 6 days without no nicotine patches someday I have rough days some days okay days some days I just want to put it patch on. I won't put 1 on don't work I'm going to this far I won't give up. Someone told me to focus to be busy I've been doing that but when I do that boom here comes a craving from hell but I won't give it. From March 15th 2013 I quit putting nicotine patches first day was okay second day it was alright third day was kind of rough a few hours it got better any easier to deal with. Fourth day hey got easier. Fifth day it was awesome not really craving. Sixth day not craving that much not really notice them.
California smoking helpline counselor called she asked me how i was doing? I told her I've been feeling wonderful.
She asked me a few questions
Do you miss smoking?
No I don't miss smoking f the cigarettes
Why did you want to smoking?
I thought I was cool
When you were in the quitting smoking treatment program with the nicotine patches how do you feel explain each steps
Step 1 explain I still was feeling that I was smoking 1 or 2 pack a day
Step 2 explain I was feeling that I was smoking half a pack day
Step 3 explain was feeling I was not getting any kind of nicotine
What did you learn with us about quitting? There were a lot of people that cared about me quitting smoking and it's not easy but it gets easier
I learned that I was hooked to the drug called the nicotine.
And the cigarette is a killing machine.
What do you do to stay away from cigarette?
1 computer
2 I'll get a hard candy or gum
3 deep breath or counting down
Or holding my breath for a few seconds answer
4 holding my phone I'm typing stuff on my phone that keeps me busy
5 going to the library or taking a ride on my power wheel chair
6 listen to music or watching TV
7 getting a tennis ball and throwing it to the wall to my craving in my trigger goes away
8 for my smell for cigarette I spray Cologne or use Vicks that helps me a lot
i was reading about a person quitting smoking how he or she have to do everything different make sense but he or she is right about 1 thing why stay away from friends that smokes if you have to deal with it. when you go out to public places you can tell the person please move out of the way or ask him or her go somewhere else to smoke. It is a public place . My point is to deal with it or stay home like you in jail or learn how to deal with it.
On own home you can tell the person go outside 2 smoke
I received the third step just be safe. I don't wanna slip up purchase cigarettes so received the third step again for 28 day.
Been 7 days without nicotine patch been 59 days without cigarettes. Beautiful outside today Friday 22 13 1:44pm doing ok .
