Musical set back.

I had a terrible set back. I asked the last artist I tried to collaborate with if there were any updates and he turned around and said that it wasn't what he was looking for. He told me he wasn't fussed on lyrics and vocals when we first chatted and was not clear on what he wanted. I wasted weeks of my time and a whole day of recording because of him!

This person was someone I didn't know. I feel disappointed and like I had been walked all over. But I can learn from this. If I can prevent something like this happening again I am going to charge the artist commission. I have had several years of vocal training and had been writing lyrics most of my life. I've worked with a fair few artists before. I did my research and some female vocalists on fiverr charge up to over 138USD for one collab. I am thinking 35USD could work. Do you all think that this is a good price for one vocal and lyric collaboration?

I first started smoking in around 2008 after a horrendous break up. I don't know why I did in the first place. I resent this decision to this date. Now I am free and continue to stay off the cigs! I currently work as a kitchenhand and write music!
