Hope every one is well.  I am doing okay.  Moving on to a new month.  Stress, finances, work, family.  All that stuff has always made me wanna smoke. It still does but I am working very hard on redirecting my feelings about that.  I have abolustely no cravings or desire to smoke ever in the morning.  I tihnk about it yes, but crave it, no.  However, the afternoons are a different story. That is when I have to put in the 'WORK".  So, that is what I will do today.  No smoking!  Yay!  I think this is gonna take a little more effort and time than I had originally thought.  Oh well... that is more time that you guys get to put up with me!  Have a great day!

good morning.  Redirecting your thoughts is good.  Changing the way you think about smoking helps too.  Have you read Allen Carr'w free ebook?  It helped me a lot so if you have time, think about it.

Well at least going into a new month we have a little more money than  we did when we smoked, so the financial stress is a little less!

Later in the day is harder for me too, now I dont have that weird feelilng before I go to bed that I had for the first 3 months, it sounds so gross, but I used to smoke right before I went to  bed. After work it's more like a strange distant thought, it goes like this-oh it's time for me to smoke, I am off work, or it's my break. And then...OH! I dont smoke anymore! That would be a good time for some gum! Or a toothpick. 🙂 Deep breaths, but you know that...

Anyway I like yer posts, keep on keepin on. ...

You'll be fine Michelle. If it wasn't work we wouldn't take it so seriously. I agree, the afternoons are the toughest for me too. Mornings and evenings I am busy but when I need a break in the afternoon, smoking does (momentarily) pop into my mind. I have to have a gameplan for when it gets warmer outside....I used to enjoy sitting outside, having a break and a smoke but its a whole new ballgame now.

I've had to put some extra  work into my quit  the last several days also.  Was out doing yard work yesterday, and when I finished I sat in the sun and thought how I once smoked when I finished a project.  A smoke was my reward for finishing.  It isn't easy for me to fight those old feelings and thoughts.  But like you, I will put in the extra work.  Prosper,
