I wanted to wish all my newly healthy friends all the best!!! I am on Day 31!!! I have had some awful cravings, but as soon as I jump up and do something else to distract, I am fine. Driving and smoking is something that came naturally to me, but giving it up was not as hard as I thought. I stock my car with Jolly Rancher or starlight mints (which my horse loves also! Too freezing cold to ride this week!)
What I'm really enjoying is FREEDOM. So sick of the time spent a.) stopping and buying cigarettes b.) looking for a lighter, matches, take your pick c.) finding a place to smoke d.) getting the smell off...... I havent gained weight yet but that is the least of my worries.\
I'm noticing in the morning I am hacking up all kinds of stuff.....makes me so happy!!! It is snowing like crazy here now, just came back from a great walk with the dogs......its beautifully quiet and peaceful, the air is crisp and clean, and the house smells great when we come home. The only regret I have is that I didn't do this sooooo many years ago! I am looking forward to writing and reading and participating again...My Marine and her Marine boyfriend came for 5 days and it was really crazy!! Wonderful visit!!! love to all and I am living proof that THIS CAN AND WILL BE DONE!!! HOOAH!!
