I just returned from the Orthopedist. The news is really mixed.
She said that it is a Ganglion Cyst.
The problem is that it is from the joint on the backside of my wrist. The cyst is on the inner side of my wrist.
Surgery is an option, but she said it would be a long surgery while they tunneled through my wrist to remove it.
It is also right next to the Radial Artery and could even be attached to the side of it.
There are also a large number of nerves at that point in the wrist.
The largest problem with a surgery is that I only have one artery below the elbow in both arms. If that is damaged I have no blood supply to my hand.
Therefore, she doesn't advise any surgery on my wrist.
The risks outweigh any benefits gained.
So, there will be no surgery unless it grows very large or begins giving me severe pain.
The surgeon know more than I do, so, I will go with what she says.
No surgery will occur until this thing impairs my way of living.
One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.
