Marlboro Birthday Coupons

Every year around this time I receive coupons from Marlboro for discounts on cigarettes.

I always looked forward to them, as it would save me a couple bucks.

This year, they sent a coupon for $25 off a carton, WHOA.......I'd never rec'd anything like that before.

Guess what I did?  Threw it in the trash.   Who needs that, when you are so determined to beat the crap out of this demon.

I'm so happy in my quit and I pray that all of you newbies who are following with me or right behind me can find this peace that I'm finding.   Best QUIT EVER.

@freeneasy  - Birthday is next Tuesday, but I'm so happy to be a non-smoker.    I have never felt so comfortable in a quit, as I am in this one.   Maybe its because my life is at stake and I finally value that more than the sickarettes.

thank you for your support.

You’re doing excellent with your quit. You can do it. Yesterday was the 9 year anniversary of my quit.I quit because I had an eye surgery that didn’t work and I told myself that I would rather see than smoke. I forgot about my anniversary until another member here messaged me. One day soon you’ll have days when you don’t think about smoking.

Too bad you trashed it - I think I might have sent it back with a message to place it where the sun don't shine!  'Cause you don't DO that anymore!

Glad to see you sounding so content in your quit.

You are definitely going to be one of the best of Ex .

If I could get a hold of all the coupons they send out I'd snap a picture of or video them all in a heap and write an article on how they manipulate people and encourage people to buy a product that will kill them .

I think  like you @Angelsyaya  I'd trash them in a way no one could ever get their hands on them . Returning  them would only give them satisfaction to send  them to another unsuspecting teen or vulnerable adult or a smoker trying to quit smoking  This is their tactic . Coupons circulate if not destroyed .

Congrats on a great quit and the strength to say nope 👎 to temptation . Free is free 🙂 and not smoking is the best free gift we can give ourselves .

You'd think that when cartons went up to a HUNDRED BUCKS (OMG) that would've done it for us, but OH NO we just either dug deep or switched to cheaper brands.

Amazing, yeah?

@Angelsyaya You are doing amazing Stacy! I just love it when I hear newbies like you who are so confident in their quits and are sailing through! I wish you were more the normal than the exception! But you are right that it may have to do with the fact that you are doing this to save your life this time! That makes a huge difference in motivation! I am so proud of you and so happy that this is going well for you! Keep up the good work my friend! Oh and I am so happy that you trashed those coupons!!🤗

About the Author
i Started smoking when I was 12. My parents were young and divorced. I would stay with my Dad in California for a month every summer. He caught me smoking and instead of punishment, he bought me a carton of cigarettes and said, if you're going to smoke, you're going to do it in front of me. He then proceeded to call my Mom and tell her. Needless to say, not to be outdone by Dad, I arrived home to a carton of cigarettes waiting for me in the car. Fast forward all of these years later and they are the two that harp on me the most about quitting. IRONIC don'tcha think. LOL 59, this is probably my 20th quit, but this one has to stick. Stage 4 COPD, 30% lung function and 229% air trappings. Been smoking since I was 12. Doctor said, QUIT NOW, or you'll be dead in 10 years. BIG MOTIVATOR. DO NOT FORGET THIS.
