Well today I officially have been a non-smoker for a week. It was every bit as hard as I thought it would be and then some. But the reward of knowing I took back control of my life was worth every minute of it. I know it is just the beginning and a week isn't that long, but smokers time is like dog years, right?

Congratulations Jennie! You should be proud of yourself getting through the first week. The first week is the hardest to get through. Its behind you now but don't let your guard down yet. Its going to start getting easier but you might still have some hard cravings. You can get through it, hang in there!

Well doen on your week and as Lee says it should be even easier now as each day passes - do not how ever be hard on yourself by thinking it is jsut a week - Every day that you do not smoke is a day to cherish and one where as you say you have taken back control of your life and not let a drug addiction rule you - its wonderful to "clock" up days weeks months years of course but in truth to day is ALL we have - yesterday has gone and tomorrow - well who lnows? So if today you lay down to sleep and have not smoked you should feel as proud of yourself as anyone else!
