MERRY-G0-ROUND

Found out the merry-go-round is not so merry!!!! Have said, and tried, many times to Quit. This time I picked June 20th. When I was on site and picked the date, the calendar recommended I re-consider. Who me? I can do this cold turkey. Well, I couldn't, and didn't. Have come back to the site ready to do the homework!! My new QuitDate is July 4 - Independence Day.

Am beginning separation exercises today, it is late here so tomorrow will be my first full day of the exercises. I did make 2 days, but that isn't enough anymore. I have a lot of pain that is not always controlled by the meds and I have used that as an excuse. However, since I started smoking again after the two days I find the pain HARDER to control. Is my body telling me that the nicotine & chemicals are a factor in the pain? I don't know but it is certainly an interesting observation.

I can't use any of the patches or meds because of medical conditions so I will depend a lot on one-line support. It is encouraging to read the success stories and the freedom so many have obtained.

I am afraid and anxious and don't quite know how to express myself right now, but I will be back.
