Description
I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I am 65 years old, married to a non-smoker (he had to stop because of illness) and have been smoking since I was 13.
I used Chantix last year and stopped for 9 months. Started smoking again when I was in a stressful situation. Used my leftover Chantix and quit for 5 months. The chantix didn't seem to work as well this time. I heard that chantix doesn't work as well when you start the medication again. Trying to find out if this is true. Did anyone have the same problem?
I love to smoke when I drink alcohol and I smoke a lot. During the 9 months of not smoking I did not drink alcohol, so that helped.
I have finally stopped smoking while I'm in the car. I'd like to get more chanix but it's expensive and not sure if it will help this time. I guess I was fooling myself when I picked up a cigarett because i thought I could quit again. I have been smoking now since July.
